Botswana Princess Girl's Ensemble

When we saw The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, we started our search for a traditional Botswana outfit for girls (and dolls). It was a challenge; but we found them.

From Southern Africa we have a tie–and-dye sarong style wrap in earthy orange. Made from hand-dyed cotton fabric, the dress is edged with a deep maroon trim. It comes with the ‘doek’ or scarf, a typical necklace of wooden beads and maroon bands that can be worn at your wrist or arm.  All clothing is “fair-trade.

About Botswana
Did you know that in Botswana it is summer in December and winter in July? The summers get very hot in Botswana so the winter afternoons are possibly the best time to go out and play.
